New Delhi, May 10: India’s U-15 boys delivered an impressive performance in the semifinals of the Asian Boxing U15 Championships, with six boxers advancing to the finals while seven others settled for bronze medals on Sunday.
In the 33kg category, Yash Kumar secured a dominant 5-0 win over Kiyan Iqbal of the UAE to enter the final.
Sastha Vasanth Ashok Kumar also progressed to the final in the 37kg category after defeating Aziretali Sanzharbekov of Kyrgyzstan.

In the 43kg semifinal, Samir Bohra registered a 4-1 victory over Adizbek Ilkhombekov of Uzbekistan.
Sudarsan Vasudeva Chandak impressed in the 52kg category with an RSC (Referee Stopped Contest) win against Amirmahdi Shad of Iran.
In the 58kg division, Mohd Yasser defeated Seyyedariyamohammad Mousa of Iran by a unanimous 5-0 verdict.
Ronak Parag Lokhande completed India’s successful run with an RSC victory over Mukhammadali Berdikulov in the 67kg category.
In other semifinal contests, Rohit Pothina lost 0-5 to Zhaksylyk Yermekuly in the 35kg category.
Nitin suffered a narrow 2-3 defeat against Jasurbek Khayrullaev in the 40kg category.
In the 46kg semifinal, Nongpoknganba Meitei Oina went down 2-3 against Mansur Abdukhamitov.
Parshant lost 0-5 to Sardor Omonboev in the 49kg category.
In the 55kg division, Harshvardhan Jeena suffered a 0-5 defeat against Nurislam Baktubayev.
Dev lost 1-4 to Hyeonseok Yoo in the 64kg semifinal.
In the 70+kg category, Sushant Jayani lost by RSC against Ibrokhim Mirzakarimov.
The six Indian finalists will now aim to clinch gold medals in their respective categories.
