St Agnes College student secures All India Rank 2, 7th worldwide in ACCA exam

Media Release

Mangaluru, May 12: In a stellar display of academic excellence, Aysha Lamha M K, a second-year BCom ACCA student of St Agnes College (Autonomous), has brought laurels to her institution and the country by securing All India Rank 2 and Worldwide Rank 7 in the Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) paper of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) March 2026 examination session.

Aysha achieved an impressive score of 82 marks in the SBR paper, a feat made even more remarkable by the fact that she is still an undergraduate student balancing a rigorous curriculum alongside her professional qualifications.

Aysha’s latest achievement is not an isolated success but part of a consistent pattern of high performance. She has maintained an extraordinary streak of scoring above 80 marks in every ACCA paper she has attempted to date:

  • Financial Management: 87

  • Financial Reporting: 84

  • Audit and Assurance: 83

  • Strategic Business Reporting: 82

Beyond her professional ACCA journey, Aysha is a standout scholar at her college. She has been awarded the Principal’s Roll of Honour for three consecutive semesters (semesters 1, 2, and 3) and secured the highest marks in the first-year BCom university examinations.

The daughter of Ashraf P K and Jaseela Ashraf, Aysha credits her success to disciplined study habits and the unwavering support of her family and mentors. Her ability to master complex professional papers while excelling in her degree studies marks her as a rising star in the field of global finance and accounting.

Lauding the achievement, principal Sr Dr Venessa A C remarked, “Aysha’s extraordinary success is a testament to the culture of excellence we strive for at St Agnes. To see a student perform at such an elite international level while still pursuing her degree is truly commendable. Her success serves as a powerful reminder to all our students that with focus and discipline, global milestones are well within reach. We are incredibly proud of the standard she has set for future ACCA aspirants.”

The college management, faculty, and student body extended their heartiest congratulations to Aysha for her record-breaking performance, which serves as an inspiration to aspiring professional accountants nationwide.

Aysha’s success continues a proud tradition of excellence established by previous high achievers of the institution. She joins the ranks of distinguished alumnae like Alisha Ruth Saldanha, who made headlines as the top resident affiliate in India with an All India Rank 2 and World Rank 11 in the March 2025 session. This legacy of brilliance is further bolstered by the remarkable past performances of Lisa Pinto, Sherlita Monteiro, and Shivani Maria Monteiro, whose collective successes as rank holders have consistently reinforced the institution's standing as a premier centre for professional studies.
