Mangaluru, May 12: As part of the International Nurses Day celebration, the 4th year BSc nursing students of St Lourdes College of Nursing, Adyar conducted an effective street play on tuberculosis (TB) awareness at Adyar Katte Junction, Mangaluru, creating awareness among the public.
Organized as part of a community health awareness programme, the students educated the public about the symptoms of tuberculosis, methods of prevention, proper treatment, and the importance of timely medical check-ups. Through the street play, the students effectively conveyed messages aimed at removing fear and misconceptions related to TB in society.







Through awareness slogans, dramatic performances, and direct interaction with the public, the students delivered important health awareness messages to pedestrians, vehicle riders, and local shopkeepers at Adyar Katte Junction.
The programme was attended by the president of the college and member of the legislative council, Ivan D’Souza, who appreciated the students’ social commitment and efforts in promoting health awareness. The college administrator, Marcel Monteiro, along with the faculty members, was also present during the programme.
The programme received a positive response from the public, and the students were appreciated for their social service and health awareness initiatives. This programme, organized by St Lourdes College of Nursing, Adyar as part of the International Nurses Day celebration, is noteworthy in promoting health awareness in society.
