Mangaluru, May 15: The much-awaited Tulu movie 'Gajanan Cricketers (Jantottu Since 1983)' is all set to hit theatres across coastal Karnataka on May 22. The film, produced under the banner of Prajwal Films by Prajwal Shetty and directed by Keerthan Bhandary, has already created a huge buzz among Tulu cinema audiences.

The makers recently confirmed the official release date and intensified promotions through teaser and song launches, which have received a positive response on social media platforms. The movie is being described as one of the biggest-budget Tulu films based on cricket and the lives of players, blended with comedy, emotions, romance, and a strong social message.

Director Keerthan Bhandary has written the story and screenplay, marking his directorial debut with this film. The movie was shot in and around Mangaluru and features producer Prajwal Shetty in the lead role.

The film stars Vineeth Kumar, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Deepak Rai Panaje, Prakash Tuminadu, Umesh Mijar, Samatha Amin, Anvitha Sagar, Walter Nandalike, Prasanna Shetty Bailoor, Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, and several others in important roles.

The cinematography is handled by Vinuth K Suvarna, while the editing is done by Sujay Shivaram and Kaushik Bhandary. The music for the film is composed by Srujan Kumar Tonse.
