Capt Shakin Raj of St Aloysius University receives DDG Commendation Award-2026

Mangaluru, May 15: Capt Shakin Raj of 18 KAR BN NCC and assistant professor, School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), has been conferred the Commendation Card by the deputy director general, Karnataka & Goa Directorate, National Cadet Corps.

The prestigious honour, awarded by the Air Commodore SB Arunkumar VSM, DDG (Karnataka & Goa Directorate), on April 18th, recognising Capt Shakin Raj’s “service of a very high order” that has enhanced the image of the National Cadet Corps and won laurels for the NCC directorate, Karnataka & Goa. The citation commends his exceptional devotion to duty and the exemplary standard he has set for others in the NCC Organisation.

Capt Shakin Raj, has been actively involved in cadet training, social service initiatives, and institutional development programmes. Under his guidance, the unit has seen consistent participation in the national-level camps and community outreach activities, reflecting disciplined leadership and commitment to youth development.

Earlier Capt Shakin Raj has received DDGNCC commendation Award 2016-17 and Chief Minister Commendation Award at 2021-22.

The vice-chancellor, management, staff and students of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), have congratulated Capt Shakin Raj for receiving this honour.
