Mangaluru: Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil holds workshop

Mangaluru, May 16: Srinivas College of Pharmacy in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, D K District Local Branch, Mangaluru organised a workshop on 'Hands on Experience in Pharma Sciences' on May 14.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Swapna Bhat, professor and head, department of Dravyaguna, Karnataka Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Mangaluru and emphasized the importance of academic interaction, interdisciplinary learning, and practical exposure in pharmaceutical sciences.

Dr A R Shabaraya, principal in his presidential remarks spoke about importance of experimental learning programmes in enhancing the practical knowledge of students. 

Prakash V Mallya, professor and coordinator, Centre for Pharmaceutical Professional Advancement, Dr Karunakar Hegde, professor & HOD and Dr Kumara Prasad SA, professor & HOD, SCP were coordinated the programme.

Dr Krishnananda Kamath K, HOD pharmaceutics welcomed gathering. Navami Alva, assistant professor, proposed the vote of thanks. As part of the programme, students were visited various departments of the college and gained practical exposure in instrumental handling and animal handling.
