Karkala, May 16: The IQAC and Placement Cell of MPM Government First Grade College, Karkala, in association with UPFRONT, in collaboration with AVPN, Anudip Foundation for Social Welfare, Google.org and Asian Development Bank (ADB), successfully organised the 'AI Fundamentals Trainin' programme on May 15, at the college auditorium. The training session was led by Gopinatha H R, project manager, CMS/Upfront, Bengaluru, and Tahaseena S, senior manager, CMS/Vrutti, Bengaluru, who served as the resource persons and provided valuable training and guidance to the students on the fundamentals and applications of Artificial Intelligence.






The programme was conducted under the guidance of principal Prof Suresh Rai K. The session was presided over by Bhagyalakshmi T M, associate professor of political science. Jyothi L Janne, associate professor of commerce, and Dr Subrahmanya K C, placement cell officer, were present on the occasion and encouraged the students to make effective use of emerging technologies and skill-based training opportunities.
The programme began with a warm welcome by Vinay M S, IQAC coordinator, who welcomed the dignitaries, resource persons and students. The training programme aimed at creating awareness about artificial intelligence and its practical applications in various fields.
Students actively participated in the session and gained valuable insights into AI fundamentals, digital skills and future career opportunities.
