Mangaluru, May 16: The trailer of much-awaited Tulu movie Gajanana Cricketers, produced under the banner of Prajwal Films, was released in a grand event here on May 26. Announcing the same, producer Prajwal Shetty said the movie is all set for a grand release across the coastal districts on May 22.

Addressing a press conference held at the Ajanta Business Centre here, he said the film has been made by blending the rich culture of coastal Karnataka, friendship, passion for cricket, and emotions into a compelling story. The film is directed by Kirthan Bhandary, who has also written the story and screenplay, while Rohan Pereira Vamanjoor and Santosh Lad are the co-producers.

Lead actor Vineeth Kumar said the movie is not just about cricket but also reflects village life, friendship, youthful dreams, and life’s struggles in a touching manner. He added that the underarm cricket backdrop, combined with comedy, romance, emotions, and a strong social message, makes the film a complete entertainer.

He appealed to the audience to watch the film in theatres on May 22 and support Tulu cinema.

Among those present at the press meet were dialogue writer Prasanna Bailoor, actress Samantha Amin, comedian Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, and co-producers Santosh Lad and Rohan Vamanjoor.
