Kasargod, May 18: In a swift breakthrough, Badiyadka police have arrested two persons within 24 hours in connection with the brutal murder of a bank security guard at Marpanadkka in Badiyadka.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh, a 42-year-old security staff member at a service cooperative bank in Kumbdaje.

Police arrested Kiran and Akhilesh as the accused in the case.

According to police, the fatal attack occurred inside the bank premises, where Suresh was allegedly stabbed following a verbal altercation that quickly escalated into violence.

Investigators said the confrontation stemmed from a dispute linked to a cricket match, which spiralled into a heated argument and ultimately ended in murder inside the bank compound.

Police further confirmed that both accused were apprehended within 24 hours of the incident.
