Mangaluru, May 21: In an effort to strengthen admissions to government schools and create awareness about the quality education and facilities offered in public institutions, a vibrant cluster-level enrolment awareness campaign was held at the Government Higher Primary School campus in Thiruvail.
The programme was organised jointly by the Department of School Education, the block education officer’s office, Mangaluru, and Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Model Kannada and English Medium Higher Primary School, Thiruvail.











The campaign was inaugurated through the release of awareness pamphlets by block education officer Ishwar K, block resource officer Tahseen, Savitha, and Raghu Saliyan, president of Vidya Bodhaneya Education Trust. SDMC president Rakesh Shetty and several other dignitaries were present during the inaugural ceremony.
A colourful awareness rally later moved from the school campus to Vamanjoor Junction, drawing the attention of the public along the route. Students, teachers, and volunteers marched with enthusiasm, spreading awareness about the benefits of government schooling, including quality education, dedicated teaching staff, student-friendly schemes, and improved infrastructure.
Participants appealed to parents to make use of the opportunities available in government schools and enrol their children for the upcoming academic year. The rally created a lively atmosphere in the locality as slogans promoting education and government school admissions echoed through the streets.
Headmaster of Thiruvail Government School Ningaraju K P, headmaster of Moodushedde High School Prasanna, headmistress Molly Vas, Vamanjoor Tigers member Charan Raj, and teachers from various government schools under the Thiruvail cluster took part in the programme, making the event a collective effort towards promoting education at the grassroots level.
