“Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow” marks Expert PU College first PUC orientation for the Year 2026-27

Mangaluru, May 21: The Expert PU College, Kodialbail, marked the commencement of the academic year 2026–27 with an inspiring first PUC orientation programme held at Expodium on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Organized under the theme “Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow,” the programme welcomed newly admitted students and their parents into the Expert family. The event commenced with the recital of the college anthem, followed by ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the students who have joined the institution.

Professor Narendra L Nayak, chairman, in his presidential address, emphasized the importance of discipline, determination, hard work, and consistent effort in achieving academic success and shaping one’s future. He also stressed on hard work and expect them to put in 17 hours of consistent efforts to strive for admission into top institutions through focused preparation and regular learning.

Highlighting the theme “Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow,” Prof. Nayak remarked, “Only when we learn — not just our subjects, but also our surroundings and the nuances of life — can we truly lead tomorrow.” He further assured parents that Expert continues to provide a result-oriented academic environment supported by experienced faculty and advanced infrastructure.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, administered the oath to the students, formally inducting them into the Expert. Delivering the keynote address, she drew a thoughtful comparison between the animal kingdom and human life, emphasizing the unique role of parents in shaping a child’s future. She remarked, “Unlike animals, human beings require guidance, nurturing, and values at every stage of life. From teaching a child how to walk to instilling discipline and good behaviour, parents dedicate themselves selflessly towards their children’s growth.”

Nayak urged students to introspect on their academic aspirations and take ownership of their ambitions. “At this stage of life, every student must ask themselves — is the dream of securing admission into the best undergraduate courses and cracking competitive examinations truly mine, or is it only my parents’ dream?” she questioned.

Ankush N Nayak, director of Information Technology, conducted an informative session on the institution’s technological ecosystem and digital learning facilities. He familiarized students and parents with the campus technology infrastructure, online academic resources, and digital platforms designed to enhance the learning experience.

Professor Ramachandra Bhat, principal of Expert PU College, Kodialbail Campus addressed the gathering with introductory urging students to excel in studies by being consistent in their efforts and develop critical thinking along with the holistic development by participating in various other in-house and inter-collegiate activities.

B Vinay Kumar, academic committee member and Math professor, guided students on the preparation strategies required for competitive examinations leading to professional courses. He provided practical insights into academic planning and systematic execution for the academic year 2026–27, helping aspirants understand the roadmap towards achieving their goals.

The orientation programme served as a comprehensive introduction to the institution’s academic vision, student support systems, and integrated approach towards competitive exam preparation. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence, technology-enabled learning, and value-based education, the event laid a promising foundation for the new batch of students stepping into their PU journey.

Ujwal Pradeep, lecturer in Biology, hosted the programme. Student councellor for boys, Bharath Chandra, proposed the vote of thanks.

Radhika Bhat, the lecturer in Physics, Karunakar Balkur, the coaching coordinator, Pramod Kini, assistant coaching coordinator and other faculty members were also present.
