Bengaluru bike crash claims youth from Bellare

Puttur, May 22: A youth from Bellare working in the software sector in Bengaluru died following injuries sustained in a road accident.

The deceased has been identified as Suraj Rai (27). He passed away in the early hours of Friday, May 22, after treatment failed to yield results.

According to family sources, the accident occurred on the night of May 15 when Suraj was travelling to Bengaluru on a motorcycle. Near Kunigal, his bike reportedly rammed into a poultry transport vehicle, causing severe head injuries.

He was immediately admitted to BGS Hospital in Kunigal. However, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to injuries on Friday morning.

The mortal remains are expected to reach Bellare around 2 pm, following which the final rites will be conducted at the crematorium in front of Mahalingeshwara Temple in Puttur.

He is survived by his wife Sneha, father and Yakshagana guru Vasudeva Rai V, mother Sharmila Rai and brother Sudeep Rai.
