Mangaluru: Srinivas University holds 'Research Conclave – 2026'

Mangaluru, May 23: Srinivas University – Research and Innovation council organized Research Conclave on May 23 at Hotel Srinivas. It was a get-together programme of all the research scholars, guides and deans with the chancellor, vice chancellor and research administrators of the university.

The programmes was inaugurated and presided by honourable chancellor of the Srinivas University Dr A Srinivas Rao. He encouraged more research activities and stated that research plays a vital role in the progress of society. Referring to technological advancement in countries like China, he explained that their improved standard of living is the result of continuous research and innovation. He stressed the need for similar research culture and highlighted the importance of both products based and service-based research.

Srinivas University board of governors member, Meghana S. Rao spoke about the importance of integrating research findings into society. She said there is much to learn from society and that efforts are being made gradually to inspire and bring positive aspirations into the world through research.

Vice chancellor of Srinivas University Dr Sathyanarayana Reddy appreciated the dedication and speed of work shown by the researchers. He urged scholars to focus more on multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research for greater academic impact.

Srinivas University registrar Dr Anil Kumar emphasized the importance of bringing researcher from different disciplines onto a common platform. He noted that research should not be segregated and appreciated the value of multidisciplinary research, which has always been encouraged by the founder chancellor and the present chancellor. He further stated that research should contribute to advancing knowledge and discovering something new.

Srinivas University evaluation registrar Dr Srinivas Mayya D congratulated the research scholars on their achievement and encouraged them to focus on improvement in all aspects of research. He advised scholars not to limit their studies to local areas but to expand their research to a broader level, including comparative studies across districts. He also stressed the importance of incorporating sustainable development goals into research and explained that every study should contribute to society, growth and development as responsible researchers.

Srinivas University development registrar Dr Ajay Kumar highlighted the growing importance of future research in the field of spirituality. He stated that research in spirituality offers immense opportunities and can contribute significantly to society in various ways.

Srinivas University research director Dr Praveen B M read the annual research report of the university and give the statistics of the publications, patents and Copyrights of the university.

Srinivas university research coordinator Dr Shailashree V T welcome the gathering and Dr Reena Ranjith expressed vote of thanks. Prof. Rohan Fernandis compered the programme.
