Beltangady: Photographer Ganesh Gowda dies after head-on collision with car near Somanthadka

Beltangady, May 25: A photographer who was critically injured in a collision between a car and a motorcycle near Somanthadka Agari Cross has died despite medical treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Gowda (36), son of Nonayya Gowda and a resident of Kalenja in Beltangady taluk.

According to reports, on May 24, he was riding a motorcycle from Ujire towards Kakkinje when it collided head-on with an oncoming car near Somanthadka Agari Cross. The impact was severe, throwing him off the vehicle onto the road and leaving him with serious injuries.

He was immediately shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for specialised treatment. However, despite medical intervention, he did not respond to treatment and was declared dead.

A case has been registered at the Beltangady Traffic police station.
