Udupi, May 26: A fish-laden lorry overturned near Ambagilu junction on Tuesday after reportedly suffering a tyre burst while travelling from Udupi towards Kundapura.
According to sources, the driver lost control of the vehicle following the tyre burst, causing the lorry to overturn onto the roadside. Several fish boxes being transported in the vehicle were thrown onto the road and scattered across the area following the mishap.
The accident led to temporary traffic disruption near the busy junction. The driver of the lorry escaped with minor injuries.
Udupi traffic police visited the spot and an investigation is underway.
