San Francisco, May 28: Meta has announced the global rollout of subscription plans for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, introducing a range of premium features for users across its platforms.

The company also revealed that additional subscription plans focused on Meta AI users, creators, and businesses will be launched in the coming months.

According to Meta, the Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus plans are priced at USD 3.99 per month, while WhatsApp Plus will cost USD 2.99 per month. The company clarified that these subscriptions will exist alongside the existing Meta Verified service and will not replace it.

Subscribers to Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus will receive access to several exclusive features aimed at improving user experience and customisation.

The new features include advanced Story insights such as rewatch counts, the ability to create unlimited audience lists beyond the current Close Friends option, and the option to extend Stories beyond the standard 24-hour duration.

Users will also be able to preview Stories before publishing, search through Story viewer lists, and post content directly to their profiles without it appearing in followers’ feeds.

Additional features include Super Heart animated reactions for Stories, custom app icons, custom fonts for profile bios, and support for more profile pins.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp Plus subscribers will gain access to custom ringtones, new app themes, additional pinned chats, enhanced sticker packs, and expanded list customisation features.

Meta said the rollout is part of its broader effort to offer more personalised experiences and premium tools across its platforms.
