Mangalore, Mar 15: Anxiety, anticipation, confidence and nervousness prevailed among students across exam centres in the city commenced on Thursday March 15.

A total of 30,129 students from Dakshina Kannada district, and 14,184 from Udupi district, are appearing for the second PU examinations, which will go on till March 31.

The students are appearing for the examinations in 48 centres spread over Dakshina Kannada district and 25 in Udupi. While the number of first-timers in Dakshina Kannada stands at 25,736, Udupi accounts for 12,005. The others are either repeat candidates or private ones.

The department of PU education has taken all measures to ensure that the PU examination, which happens to be a very important threshold in the lives of the students, and their performance in which can prove to be a turning point in their lives, is held properly.

District and taluk level vigilance squads which also contain members from outside the districts, have been formed by the department of PU education, while the deputy commissioner has appointed district and taluk level nodal officers. In addition to vigilance squads, mobile squads will also be keeping an eye on the proceedings.

Prohibitory orders under section 144 have been promulgated up to a radius of 200 metres from these examination centres, and Xerox shops functioning in this radius have been ordered to be shut between 8 am each day till the examinations come to an end.

First of all I wish the PUC young minds all the best and do well to your capacity. Some are good at studies where as some are good at sports or other field so don’t worry about the result. In examination, majority of highly talented mind will not score well because they always want to know more deep about the subject and few others will feel the method of our teaching is out dated. Hence don't judge a student by their marks/results but by their potential mind. Aptitude Test, to an extent, will guide them what is best for them.
Parents should never push their ward to do better than their capacity in any field that has its own limitation to each individual. Parents should not feel that education is everything and if their ward gets low marks means the end of their world, NO! It is not so. There are so many factors for your ward getting High or Low marks in any given subject. Hence, always encourage them to do their best and give them positive energy to overcome the exam fever.
Most of the super successful genius never fared well in their academy.
    So, hey kids, CHILL!

I wish all the students best of luck and good results. Keep your mind cool, tension free and study hard. God shall reward you with the desired results... After months of hard work, after the exams you will have two months long summer holidays. Enjoy your holidays with free mind. All the best...MESCOM... please ensure consistant power supply during the preparation and exams...you have to understand the importance of ones career and please dont play with your hide and seek game of power cuts though its peak summer, but students need them badly...
