Mangaluru: Inauguration of the New Academic Year 2026–27 held at St Aloysius Gonzaga School

Mangaluru, Jun 1: The inaugural ceremony of the new academic year 2026–27 was held on 1 June 2026 in a formal and prayerful manner for the students of Classes I to XII. The programme marked the beginning of a new journey of learning, growth, and achievement.

The ceremony commenced with a prayer service invoking God’s blessings upon the students, staff, and the institution, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. During the programme, the newly appointed Academic Coordinators were introduced: Carol Tina Rodrigues for Classes I to V, Deepthi Karkada for Classes VI to X, and Deepa Karkada for Classes XI and XII. The newly appointed teachers and newly admitted students were warmly welcomed into the school community.

Principal Fr Rohan D’Almeida SJ delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to begin the academic year with joy, enthusiasm, and motivation. He congratulated the class X and XII students and teachers on achieving a 100% pass result in the previous academic year and urged everyone to strive for excellence. Emphasising the keys to success, he highlighted Aspiration—having a clear dream or goal for the academic year, Inspiration—drawing motivation from the lives of great personalities, and Perspiration—working diligently to achieve one’s aspirations.

Vice-principals Laurel D’Souza and Aparna Suresh were present during the assembly and joined in welcoming the students to the new academic year. The ceremony concluded on a positive and hopeful note, setting the tone for a productive and successful academic year ahead.
