Karnataka Bank conducts annual conference of concurrent auditors and internal auditors

Mangaluru, Jun 1: Karnataka Bank successfully organised its annual conference of concurrent auditors and internal auditors for the financial year 2026-27 at its Centenary Building, Mangaluru on May 20. The conference was conducted in a hybrid mode under the theme "Anticipate, Strengthen, Prevent", enabling participation from auditors and Bank officials across the country.

The conference served as an important platform for discussions on strengthening audit practices, enhancing risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and sharing best practices in internal control and governance.

The event was presided over by K Gururaj Acharya, chairman of the audit committee of the Board. Special guest M R Venkatesh, chartered accountant and advocate, shared his perspectives on emerging challenges in the audit and regulatory landscape.

Raghavendra S Bhat, managing director & CEO of Karnataka Bank, addressed the participants and emphasized the critical role of auditors in promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainable growth. Guest speaker Nandan Rao Iddya, chartered accountant, shared his insights on evolving audit practices and governance standards.

Jayanagaraja Rao S, head of Internal Audit and chief of Internal Vigilance, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of a strong audit framework in supporting the Bank's growth and compliance objectives. The occasion was also graced by the presence of the Bank's top management and senior officials.

The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from concurrent auditors, internal auditors, regional heads, deputy regional heads, and branch heads from various locations across India, reaffirming the Bank's commitment to robust governance, effective risk management, and a strong audit framework.
