Mangaluru, Jun 2: Yenepoya PU College hosted a grand felicitation and orientation programme, celebrating academic excellence while welcoming the newly admitted PU 1 students and their parents to the Yenepoya family for the academic year 2026–27.
The event brought together distinguished dignitaries, educational leaders, parents, faculty members, and students in a celebration that reflected the institution’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and the transformation of lives through education.













The programme was graced by Dr Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor of Yenepoya Deemed to be University, and Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, chairman of the Karnataka State Allied & Healthcare Council, who attended as the chief guest.
Also present on the occasion were Javeed Yenepoya, director of the Yenepoya Group; Mishria Javeed, director of The Yenepoya School, Yenepoya World School, Akshara House of Children, and Yenepoya PU College; Saad Yenepoya; Sinan, director of Yenepoya Centre for Advanced Learning; Anthony Joseph, associate director and head of The Yenepoya School, and Ujwal Rodney Menezes, principal of Yenepoya PU College, along with faculty members, parents, and students.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Ujwal Rodney Menezes, who welcomed the dignitaries, parents, students, and guests and congratulated the achievers for their outstanding accomplishments. He encouraged the newly admitted students to embrace the opportunities ahead with confidence, commitment, and determination as they embark on one of the most important phases of their academic journey.
Addressing the gathering thereafter, Dr Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi spoke about the transformative power of education and the responsibility educational institutions carry in shaping future generations. He encouraged students to pursue excellence with humility, remain rooted in values, and strive to become responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to society. He reminded students that true success extends beyond marks and ranks and lies in becoming individuals of character, integrity, and purpose.
This was followed by a presentation by Sinan Zakaria, who provided an overview of the institution’s academic achievements, board examination results, competitive examination performances, and key milestones achieved by the college. The presentation reflected the institution’s consistent pursuit of excellence and highlighted the impressive achievements of its students across various academic and competitive platforms.
A major highlight of the programme was the felicitation of board examination toppers, subject achievers, and students who excelled in various competitive examinations. The achievers were honoured amidst enthusiastic applause from parents, faculty members, and fellow students. Their accomplishments stood as a testament to perseverance, dedication, discipline, and the collective efforts of students, teachers, and parents.
Following the felicitation ceremony, Mishria Javeed delivered a powerful and inspiring address that resonated deeply with both students and parents. Welcoming the newly admitted students into the Yenepoya family, she spoke passionately about the institution’s commitment to nurturing every child entrusted to its care and creating an environment where students are encouraged to discover their strengths, develop confidence, and pursue excellence.
In a heartfelt message to students, she reminded them that the next two years would play a defining role in shaping their future and that the opportunities available to them tomorrow would largely be determined by the effort, discipline, and choices they make today.
Addressing parents, she reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing personalised attention, strong academic mentoring, emotional support, career guidance, and continuous encouragement to every student. She emphasised that at Yenepoya, success is not measured by the number of admissions received but by the number of lives transformed through education.
Delivering the chief guest’s address, Dr U T Ifthikar Ali commended Yenepoya PU College for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. He encouraged students to think beyond conventional boundaries, embrace lifelong learning, and prepare themselves for the opportunities and challenges of an ever-evolving world. He also highlighted the vast possibilities available in healthcare, science, research, and higher education, motivating students to pursue their ambitions with determination and confidence.
Presiding over the function, Javeed Yenepoya delivered the presidential address. Congratulating the achievers and welcoming the new batch of students, he reiterated the Yenepoya Group’s enduring commitment to educational excellence and nation-building through quality education. He emphasised that educational institutions have a responsibility not only to impart knowledge but also to nurture values, leadership, compassion, and social responsibility.

The programme concluded with an extensive orientation session for newly admitted students and parents, during which they were introduced to the college’s academic framework, mentoring systems, competitive examination coaching initiatives, discipline standards, student support services, and career guidance programmes. Parents appreciated the institution’s transparent approach, clear vision, and student-centred philosophy.
