Mangaluru, Jun 3: The Konkani Natak Sabha (KNS), the oldest and most prominent cultural organization in Mangaluru, has officially announced the schedule for its prestigious annual competitions. The highly anticipated events will span over two months, running from Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, September 13 at Don Bosco Hall in Mangaluru.

This year’s cultural festival marks a momentous milestone as it celebrates the 62nd year of the singing competitions alongside the 24th year of the poetry recitation and dance contests. KNS continues its enduring legacy of nurturing local talent and preserving Konkani heritage by also bringing back newer, highly requested categories from recent editions, including the traditional Voviyo-Verse and Gumta Podam.

In an exciting development for theatre enthusiasts, a Skit Competition has been added to this year's lineup. While there is a registration fee of Rs 500 per team, KNS is offering a special honorarium to the first eight teams that enroll, which will be distributed after their live stage performances. The top three winning teams will be awarded attractive cash prizes based on their final standings.

The grand event is open to participants of all ages across children, youth, and adult categories. The schedule will kick off with the children's singing competition on July 5 and will reach its spectacular conclusion with the singing competition grand finale on September 13. Interested participants can enter individually or as a group. Entry forms can be collected directly from the KNS office or at Don Bosco Hall, and any further inquiries can be made by contacting the organizers at 8660148257.
