Mangaluru, Jun 3: The inauguration of the new academic year 2026–27 was held with great enthusiasm and solemnity at Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School, CBSE Kotekar, on 1st June 2026.

The programme commenced with a prayer service symbolically presented through meaningful objects such as a globe, a book, and a candle, highlighting the values of global awareness, knowledge, and enlightenment. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Prabha through her inspiring welcome address.

The ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp marked the formal inauguration of the academic year. The newly appointed staff members were then welcomed with special badges of love, which were attached to the Carmel School Love Symbol, signifying their inclusion in the Carmel family.

A unique and heartwarming ceremony was conducted to welcome the new students. The students placed stars into decorative pots, symbolizing their becoming an integral part of the Carmel community and their role in illuminating the future with their talents and aspirations.

The principal addressed the gathering, motivating students and staff to embrace the new academic year with dedication, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Demcy, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful organization of the event.

The inauguration ceremony set a positive and inspiring tone for the academic year, fostering a spirit of unity, learning, and growth among all members of the school community.
