Jerusalem, Jun 6: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday informed the Security Cabinet that no agreement has been reached with Hezbollah, as ministers reviewed Israel’s military plans and security strategy concerning the situation along the Lebanon border.

During the meeting, Netanyahu reportedly told Cabinet members that there was currently no proposal requiring approval as Hezbollah had not accepted any agreement under discussion.

“There is no agreement at the moment, and therefore I am not bringing it for approval,” Netanyahu said, adding that any future arrangement would be presented to the Security Cabinet if Hezbollah agreed to its terms.

The high-level meeting focused on Israel’s ongoing security concerns in northern regions bordering Lebanon, where tensions with the Iran-backed Hezbollah group have remained a major challenge.

According to reports, several ministers participated in the discussions and shared their views on the evolving security situation.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir urged Netanyahu to convey the realities faced by residents in northern Israel to US President Donald Trump, stressing the need for stronger international understanding of the security challenges posed by Hezbollah.

The discussions come amid continuing regional tensions and efforts to prevent a wider escalation along the Israel-Lebanon frontier. Israeli officials have repeatedly stated that they remain prepared for military action if diplomatic efforts fail to address security threats from Hezbollah.
