Christ King Educational Institution observes World Environment Day

Karkala, Jun 5: World Environment Day was meaningfully observed at Christ King Educational Institution, Karkala, in the institution's Fr F P S Monis Hall.

Presiding over the programme, Christopher Kotian, headmaster of the primary section, emphasised the importance of environmental conservation. Addressing the students, he said, “As this day symbolises the birthday of nature, every student should plant a sapling in the name of their mother and contribute towards protecting the environment.”

Primary section teacher M Deepthi and Ashnan D’Souza, a seventh-grade student, shared their thoughts on the significance of World Environment Day and the need for sustainable environmental practices.

On the occasion, students were administered a pledge on environmental conservation, reaffirming their commitment to protecting nature and promoting a greener future.

The programme was attended by Sr Jolly Jacob, vice principal of the primary section. Seventh-grade student Niyona Mendonsa compered the event.
