Mangalore: Lancy Mascarenhas Chosen for IIFS Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award

Mangalore, Mar 15: Lancy Mascarenhas, entrepreneur and proprietor of Lancy Constructions, has been chosen for the prestigious 'Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award' to be given by the India International Friendship Society (IIFS) for his meritorious services and achievements.

The award will be conferred on him at India International Centre, New Delhi on March 27, during a conference on 'Economic Growth and National Integration' to be organized by IIFS.
 
IIFS is a non-governmental Society of repute, working for the past many years in service of the country.
 
Cabinet ministers from the centre and various states, members of parliament, industrialists, social workers and intelligentsia have been invited to address the event.
 
Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award is conferred on extraordinary men and women who have specialized in various fields like the science and technology, education, industry, fine arts, politics and social work, in lieu of the yeoman services rendered with excellence in their respective fields. Some of the past recipients inlcude Mother Teresa, Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra, several chief ministers and governors of state, cine stars Dev Anand, Sunil Dutt and many more.

    One of the leading members from our community has won such a prestigious award. It is time to celebrate. I have known Lancy Mascarenhas since I was a kid and have seen the hard work put by him to reach where he has today. Yet in every comment posted here you see more people disagreeing than agreeing. This is a shame, a real shame beacuse some people simply cannot digest the success of others. It reminds me again of the crabs in a pail story. Congrats again Mr. Lancy Mascarenhas, let these petty minded individuals not deter you, Keeping progressing, and winning more awards. A large part of our community is proud of you, let us ignore the rest. I expect to see the same petty minded souls disagreeing with me. Comon guys, MAKE MY DAY.
