Mangaluru, Jun 6: The Expert PU College, Kodialbail, marked the commencement of the academic year 2026–27 with an inspiring orientation programme for first PUC students on Saturday, June 6 at the Expodium. Organized under the theme ‘A determined mind leads to success’, the programme aimed to inspire newly admitted students to pursue their goals with the institution’s vision, values and academic expectations. The event commenced with the recital of the college anthem, followed by ceremonial lighting of the lamp and symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the students who have joined the institution.
Professor Narendra L Nayak, chairman, in his presidential address, emphasized the importance of discipline, determination, perseverance, and sustained effort in achieving academic excellence and building a successful future. He also stressed on hard work and expect them to put in consistent efforts to strive for admission into top institutions through focused preparation and regular learning.


He further assured parents of the institution’s continued commitment to providing a result-oriented academic environment supported by experienced faculty and advanced infrastructure.
Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, administered the oath to the students, formally welcoming them to the institution. Delivering the keynote address, she highlighted the distinctive role of parents in shaping a child’s future.
Addressing the students, Nayak encouraged them to reflect on their aspirations and take personal responsibility for their goals. She emphasized that genuine success is achieved when students pursue their goals with conviction, commitment and self-motivation.
Shyam Prasad, AICE coordinator, conducted an informative session on the institution’s technological ecosystem and digital learning facilities. He familiarized students and parents with the campus technology infrastructure, online academic resources, and digital platforms designed to enhance the learning experience.
Professor Ramachandra Bhat, principal of Expert PU College, Kodialbail Campus addressed the gathering with introductory urging students to excel in studies by being consistent in their efforts and develop critical thinking along with the holistic development by participating in various other in-house and inter-collegiate activities.
B Vinay Kumar, academic committee member and Math professor, guided students on the preparation strategies required for competitive examinations leading to professional courses. He provided practical insights into academic planning and systematic execution for the academic year 2026–27, helping aspirants understand the roadmap towards achieving their goals.
The orientation programme served as a comprehensive introduction to the institution’s academic vision, student support systems, and integrated approach towards competitive exam preparation. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence, technology-enabled learning, and value-based education, the event laid a promising foundation for the new batch of students stepping into their PU journey.
Ujwal Pradeep, lecturer in biology, hosted the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
Radhika Bhat, the lecturer in physics, Karunakar Balkur, the coaching coordinator, Pramod Kini, assistant coaching coordinator, Bharathchandra, the student counsellor for boys, Swetha Viraj, the student counsellor for girls and other faculty members were also present.
