Mysuru, Jun 8: The fifth day of the novena devotion in preparation for the grand annual feast of St Anthony was prayerfully celebrated on Monday, June 8, at St Anthony’s Basilica, Dornahalli, Mysuru.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Patrick Xavier, parish priest, St Michael’s Church, Madikeri. He was joined by Fr David Sagayaraj, rector of St Anthony’s Basilica, and Fr Praveen Pedru, administrator of the Basilica.
A large number of devotees participated in the holy Mass and Novena service, seeking the blessings and intercession of St Anthony. In his homily, Fr Patrick Xavier invited the faithful to strengthen their relationship with god through prayer, faith, and acts of charity, drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of St Anthony.

























Following the Eucharistic celebration, the Novena prayers were offered in honour of St Anthony for the intentions of the devotees. The devotion concluded with the procession of the holy statue of St Anthony and the Benediction of the blessed sacrament, leaving the faithful spiritually enriched and renewed.
As the Novena progresses, pilgrims and devotees from various parts of Karnataka and neighbouring regions continue to flock to the Basilica, preparing themselves spiritually for the annual feast of St Anthony.
