Mangaluru: Body of unidentified youth found near Jokatte flyover, foul play suspected

Mangaluru, Jun 10: The body of a young man was found under suspicious circumstances near Jokatte in Panambur on Wednesday, raising suspicions of possible foul play.

The deceased is believed to be a native of North India, though his identity is yet to be established. The body was discovered in a roadside drain near the small flyover leading to Jokatte on the MRPL–Surathkal road.

Adding to the mystery, bloodstains were found near the gate of a house located approximately one-and-a-half metres from where the body was recovered. Local residents suspect that the youth may have been murdered and his body later dumped at the spot.

Panambur police rushed to the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation. The body has been sent for further examination, and police have initiated legal procedures to ascertain the exact cause of death.
