Udupi, Jun 10: The NSS-YRC unit and NCC unit of SMVITM, Bantakal, celebrated World Environment Day at SVH High School, Innanje. As part of the programme, a number of fruit-bearing saplings were planted on the school campus, and each class was entrusted with the responsibility of nurturing the plants.
Eco-friendly pencils were distributed to all students to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness.
Dr Sudharshan Rao, dean of SMVITM, along with Sachin Prabhu, Dr Vignesh Shenoy, Rajendra Prabhu, and Natraj Upadhyaya, were present on the occasion.
Around 150 students and teachers participated in the programme, demonstrating their commitment towards environmental conservation and a greener future.
