IndiGo issues travel advisory amid Middle East tensions, urges passengers to monitor flight updates

New Delhi, Jun 11: IndiGo Airlines on Thursday issued a travel advisory for passengers travelling to and from the Middle East, assuring that it is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the region and coordinating with relevant authorities.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, the airline said the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew remain its highest priority amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

“We understand that the evolving situation in the Middle East may be causing concern for customers travelling to and from the region. Please be assured that we are closely monitoring developments and remain in constant coordination with the relevant authorities,” the airline stated.

IndiGo advised passengers to follow its official social media channels and regularly check the flight status page for real-time updates regarding their travel plans. The airline also sought patience and cooperation from travellers, stating that further updates would be shared as the situation develops.

The advisory comes as several airlines continue to assess operational challenges arising from regional tensions and airspace restrictions.

Earlier this month, IndiGo had suspended all flights to and from Kuwait following the continued closure of Kuwaiti airspace and directives issued by local authorities.

At the time, the airline expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers and reiterated its commitment to safety. IndiGo said it was working closely with aviation authorities and monitoring developments to resume services as soon as conditions allow.

Passengers travelling to affected destinations have been advised to verify their flight status before leaving for the airport and to contact the airline for assistance regarding travel-related queries.
