Udupi Bypoll - After Camels, Turn of Giant LCD Screens!

Udupi Bypoll - After Camels, Turn of Giant LCD Screens!

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi

Udupi, Mar 16: The Udupi-Chikmagalur bypoll campaign has seen it all - camels, cine stars, pamphlets raking up alleged criminal pasts, and what not. When every trick in the bag is being tried, can technology be far behind?

The Congress party, perhaps in a bid to show it is tech-savvy and 'with the times' set up a giant LCD screen mounted on a vehicle.

The LCD displays a documentary of the achievements of Congress, the development works it has undertaken over the years, together with its entire history.

Strangely enough, the vehicle has Andhra Pradesh registration number.

The mobile LCD has been making the rounds of the entire Udupi, catching the attention of the amused people.

On the other hand, on Thursday March 15, BJP stepped up its campaign by distributing pamphlets digging out a murder case in which Congress candidate J P Hegde's name had been involved. The pamphlets evoked a mixed reaction from the public.

Only TV is good, not the pictures displayed in TV. They are dirty men and women. Daily we are seeing these dirty people in TV. What is special in this?

    Useless fellows..

Development works by congress we are seeing daily in our open eyes. We do not morphed/manipulated pictures.

And a Suggestion: Don't run this VEHICLE with LCD TV on NH66. The TV will break down.

Run this VEHICLE with LCD TV in beautiful city roads of UDUPI. No problems to your TV.

NH66 is the product of congress. Udupi city nice roads are BJP's contribution.

    That is difference !!

LCD canvas from Congress is not blah blah but what it promised there it fulfilled. What India has been today never had been before. We are the fourth largest economic power house plus abundant intellectual, professional and skilled manpower which is a great achievement. In fact Congress is displaying what it achieved.Report says truck's number plate is A.Pradesh Regd which is not a big deal as the service may outsourced to AP contractor.

Its one way of reachig out to the masses. Every party can try their own menthods to attract the voters and convey the message. there is no harm...With a budget of Rs. 10 lakh on expenditures, I feel its the noble way of communication and spreading the message... There is no national waste....If you wish to see it see, no body is forcing. Its upto the individual. JDS has been distributing cash to masjids, madrasas and churches and orphanages..Has anyone made a note of it????

What matters to the voters is not empty promises, but roti, kapda and makan on regular basis. Silver Screen actors, glass room politicians and high-tech hifi resolution pictures does not appeal to the poor peasants and workers of the constituency!
