Moodbidri: Books distributed to Swasthishri Jain PU College students

Moodbidri, Jun 13: In a meaningful initiative aimed at supporting education, free textbooks were distributed to first and second year students of Swasthishri Jain Residential Pre-University College under the joint aegis of the Dhavala Traya Jain Kashi Trust and Moodbidri Jain Math Trust, with support from Indra Kumar of Hubballi. The distribution programme was held at the Jain Math on Friday, June 12, in the afternoon.

The event, held at the revered Jain centre of Moodbidri popularly known as Dhavalatraya Jain Kashi, brought together students, faculty and dignitaries in a spiritually charged atmosphere focused on education and values. 

Swasthishri Dr Bhattaraka Charukirti Swamiji, pontiff of the Jain Mahasansthana, graced the occasion and underlined the importance of education in shaping life. He advised students to recognise the true value of learning and to build their future through knowledge, discipline and dedication. Blessing the students, he also distributed writing materials and expressed gratitude to education patrons and donors for their continued support.

Reiterating his message, the Swamiji encouraged students to grow into responsible, well-educated citizens and emphasised that education should be treated as a lifelong commitment.

Retired Canara Bank manager Shambhav Kumar of Moodbidri attended the programme as the chief guest. He distributed books to the students and extended his best wishes for their academic progress.

Principal Soumyashri and members of the faculty were also present at the programme and participated in the proceedings.
