Moodbidri, Jun 14: A tragic incident occurred at Ontikatte in Marpadi village on Saturday, June 13, where an elderly woman lost her life after falling into a well.
The deceased has been identified as Kamala (99), wife of the late Taniya Poojary.
According to sources, Kamala was in good health and maintained a daily habit of peering into the well. On Saturday, she went to look into the well as part of her usual routine, but accidentally lost her balance, fell inside, and drowned.
The fire brigade personnel arrived at the scene and retrieved the body from the well. The police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
