Sullia, Jun 16: A man had a narrow escape after a coconut tree standing in front of a house snapped and fell into the courtyard at Paichar village on Monday.

The incident occurred at the residence of Shafi Pragathi. His elder brother, Hasainar, was collecting rainwater dripping from the roof slab in a bucket when the mishap took place.

At the same time, a coconut tree located in front of the house suddenly broke and crashed into the courtyard.

Noticing the tree falling, Hasainar immediately moved away from the spot, thereby escaping unharmed. It is learnt that Shafi’s mother had been standing at the same location just moments before the incident.

The dramatic moment of the coconut tree snapping and falling was captured on the house’s CCTV camera.
