Bantwal: Gas leak at canteen leaves two injured

Bantwal, Jun 17: Two persons sustained minor burn injuries after a cooking gas cylinder leak triggered a fire at the rear side of a canteen located in front of the Mini Vidhana Soudha at B.C. Road on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred when gas leaked from a cylinder being used for preparing dosas at the canteen. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported.

The fire caused by the gas leak resulted in minor burn injuries to two persons associated with the canteen. Local residents initially attempted to bring the blaze under control.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel later reached the spot and successfully extinguished the fire, averting a major mishap. Authorities said the situation was brought under control without further damage.
