Mangaluru, Jun 17: The 23rd BSc (Nursing) and 21st GNM batch Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony of Srinivas Institute of Nursing Sciences and A Shamarao Nursing School, Valachil, was successfully held on June 16 at the Srinivas Group of Colleges, Valachil campus.
The programme was inaugurated by Prof Er A Mitra S Rao, trustee member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University, and secretary, A Shamarao Foundation, Mangaluru, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Speaking on the occasion, she said that nursing is a noble profession with its own standards and high global demand. She encouraged students to develop nursing skills and a strong sense of humanitarian approach. She also wished the students a bright future in nursing.
The chief guest, Prof Dr Aldrin Vas, principal, Tejasvini Nursing Institute, Mangaluru, addressed the gathering and said that life is a continuous struggle, and we must develop a fighting spirit to face challenges and move forward. He further added that we should always strive to enhance knowledge and understanding to move towards intellectual growth.
The programme was attended by Prof Pradeepa M, principal, Srinivas Institute of Nursing Sciences, Prof Shanti Renita Moras, principal, A Shamarao Nursing School, and Prof Roshan Battodi.
Students, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff actively participated in the programme and made it a grand success.
