Alva’s Pragati 2026: Mega placement drive on Aug 7, 8 at Moodbidri

Moodbidri, Jun 20: Alva’s Pragati, the mega placement drive organised by Alva’s Education Foundation, is all set to conduct its 16th edition on August 7 and 8 at the Vidyagiri Campus, Moodbidri. The details of the upcoming placement drive were announced during a press meet held at Moodbidri.

Addressing the press meet, Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation, along with other representatives, said that Alva’s Pragati, which began in 2007, has emerged as one of India’s leading mass placement platforms, creating employment opportunities for thousands of job aspirants.

The initiative continues with its objective of supporting candidates, especially from rural areas and those with limited access to employment opportunities. As a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Alva’s Pragati provides a free platform for both job seekers and participating companies, helping candidates connect with local, national, and international recruiters.

The Foundation has successfully organised 22 mass placement drives so far, with an average participation of around 250 reputed companies in every edition. Till date, 66,432 candidates have been shortlisted and 40,848 candidates have secured spot job offers through this initiative.

The 16th edition of Alva’s Pragati 2026 is expected to witness participation from around 300 companies representing sectors including BFSI, IT, ITES, manufacturing, pharma, sales and retail, hospitality, telecommunication, healthcare, media, construction, electronics, education, and NGOs.

The placement drive will provide opportunities for candidates from various educational backgrounds including engineering, medical and para-medical, arts, commerce, management, basic sciences, nursing, ITI, diploma, PUC, SSLC, and skilled manpower categories.

The organisers informed that details of participating companies will be updated on a real-time basis on the official website. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the website to get updates regarding vacancies, company profiles, job descriptions, and opportunities.

Online registration is compulsory and free for all job aspirants to streamline and digitise the recruitment and selection process. Candidates can register through the official registration portal.

An expert team from Alva’s Education Foundation will also conduct orientation programmes across various taluks of the undivided Dakshina Kannada district to guide students about available vacancies, job roles, and career prospects.

The organisers requested candidates to complete their registration at the earliest to access the right information and opportunities.

Special facilities have also been arranged for participants. Accommodation will be provided for outstation candidates from August 6 onwards, and a special bus facility will be available for ITI candidates.

Candidates attending Alva’s Pragati 2026 are required to carry 5–10 passport-size photographs, updated resumes, attested photocopies of all marks cards, and their online registration ID/number.
