Mangaluru, Jun 20: The inter-house folk dance competition was held at St Theresa's School during the activity period for students of the junior and senior categories. The event aimed at promoting cultural awareness, teamwork, and appreciation for India's rich and diverse folk traditions.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the student comperes, who welcomed the principal, vice principal, judges Sumana and Usha, teachers, and students. The competition began with the junior category, followed by the senior category.




































Participants from all four houses enthusiastically showcased various folk-dance forms from different parts of the country. Adorned in colourful costumes, the students enthralled the audience with their graceful movements, coordination, expressions, and vibrant representation of India's cultural heritage. Their performances reflected creativity, dedication, and teamwork.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed the lively presentations and appreciated the efforts of all the participants. The judges evaluated the performances based on synchronization, expressions, costumes, creativity, and overall presentation.
Addressing the gathering, principal Sr Lourdes congratulated the participants for their commendable performances and encouraged students to actively participate in various co-curricular activities. She also emphasized the importance of giving opportunities to different students so that everyone gets a chance to showcase their talents and shine on the stage.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, principal, vice principal, judges, teachers, non-teaching staff, and students for their support and cooperation in making the event a grand success. The results were announced by the principal, and the competition ended on a joyful and celebratory note.
