Mangaluru, Jun 21: A staff nurse discharging her duties at the Government Wenlock Hospital was allegedly assaulted by a patient. A case has been registered at the Pandeshwar police station in connection with the incident.
The victim has been identified as Ramya. The accused patient, identified as Shashwath E, allegedly obstructed the nurse from performing her official duties and launched an attack on her.

The incident took place on the night of June 18. Following the assault, Ramya was admitted to the hospital as an inpatient to receive treatment.
The police have registered a formal case against the accused based on the complaint lodged by the aggrieved nurse, and further investigation is underway.
