Mangaluru, Jun 22: The school Parliament was inaugurated on June 22 at St Agnes High School. The solemn ceremony began with a dignified march past by the members of the school Parliament. The chief guest, Dr Flossy D’Souza, lighted the lamp and formally inaugurated the event. A meaningful prayer service invoking blessings for the leaders was held. Tr Dimple Quadros welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.
The oath-taking ceremony was administered to the council of ministers by Dr Flossy D’Souza. The cabinet members, including the speaker Rebecca D’Souza, school pupil leader Riya D’Souza, assistant school pupil leader Sanjivini, and the leaders of the opposition, took the oath. The leaders were then invested with their badges and sashes by the headmistress, Sr Gloria AC.

























In her address to the students, the chief guest, highlighted the flight of geese as an effective leadership teamwork and mutual support. The headmistress, who is also the governor of the school Parliament, appreciated the entire programme, which was conducted in a dignified manner. She congratulated the student leaders and encouraged them to lead with sincerity, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The school flag was ceremoniously presented to the SPL and ASPL. This symbolised the transfer of leadership, responsibility, and the school’s cherished traditions.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Vamshika of class XB. Tr Preethi Vas presented a memento to the chief guest in recognition of her valuable contribution to the field of education. Avil D’Souza of class XB compered the programme with confidence and poise.
