Mangaluru, Jun 23: The Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Yenepoya Dental College, Yenepoya (deemed to be University) in association with Young Indians (YI), Mangalore, under the guidance of Dr Veena K M, professor & head, organized an oral screening camp on June 18th at Kalbavi Consumer Foods Pvt Ltd.

The camp was conducted with the objective of promoting oral health awareness and facilitating the early detection of oral diseases among industrial workers. A team of faculty members, postgraduate students and interns from the department of oral medicine & radiology carried out comprehensive oral examinations and provided counselling on maintaining good oral hygiene, the harmful effects of tobacco and gutka use, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.

A total of 115 workers underwent oral screening during the camp. Individuals requiring further evaluation and treatment were advised to visit Yenepoya Dental College for comprehensive dental care. The camp was successfully conducted with the active support and cooperation of Young Indians (YI), Mangalore, and the management of Kalbavi Consumer Foods Pvt Ltd.
