Udupi: Bantakal Engineering College students develop AI-driven healthcare platform

Media Release

Udupi, Jun 24: Addressing healthcare accessibility challenges in rural and semi-urban regions, final-year AIML students of SMVITM have developed an integrated digital healthcare platform that streamlines doctor appointments, digital prescriptions, medicine ordering, and blood donor support.

The system incorporates an AI-powered recommendation engine that guides patients toward suitable hospitals and healthcare services based on their requirements, location, affordability, and provider credibility.

The project was undertaken under the guidance of Dr Vighnesh Shenoy by students Nandish P B, Shreyas, and Vinayaka M N.

A key feature of the platform is its intelligent blood donation module, which prioritizes emergency requests and identifies compatible donors using automated matching techniques.

Built on a robust and scalable architecture, the platform has demonstrated improved performance and responsiveness, offering a promising solution for enhancing healthcare delivery in resource-constrained communities.
