Udupi, Jun 24: International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Madhava Kripa School, Manipal. Students from both the primary and middle school sections actively participated in the program and demonstrated various yoga postures.
Under the guidance of physical education teachers Shalini and Prashanth, the students performed a range of yoga asanas, including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and Bhujangasana, with discipline and precision, earning appreciation from all present.










The students were also educated about the importance of yoga in maintaining both physical and mental well-being. As part of the Yoga Day celebrations, various competitions were organized, and prizes were distributed to the winners.
Addressing the gathering, the school principal Swati Kulkarni highlighted the significance of yoga and encouraged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily lives for a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
The programme successfully created awareness among students about the importance of adopting healthy habits and a wellness-oriented way of life.
The event was attended by vice principals Kasturi Kamat and Jyothi Santosh, as well as headmistress Asha Nayak.
