Mangaluru, Jun 26: Sahyadri Institute of Health Sciences and College of Nursing, Kuloor celebrated Graduation Day with great pride and enthusiasm of 2nd batch of Basic BSc Nursing and General and Midwifery Nursing on June 26 at Town hall. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the lives of the graduating nursing students as they stepped into the noble profession of nursing.
The ceremony commenced with Welcoming the guests by Jyoti Desai, tutor and team followed by procession of the graduates and traditional lamp lighting, symbolising the illumination of knowledge and skills. Sunitha Cynthia, lecturer welcomed the gathering. The graduating students were awarded their graduation certificates in the presence of the dignitaries, faculty members, proud parents, and fellow students. Crystal D'Souza, assistant professor read out the graduates oath.

















The annual report for the academic year 2024-2025 was presented by principal-professor Merlin Sheeba Jinto,
Quienie Renita, assistant professor and Genevive Reshma, assistant professor introduced the guests to the audience.
The distinguished chief guest, Dr Shrikant Phulari, registar KSNC Bengaluru, and assistant director or Nursing DME,addressed the graduates and inspired them to uphold the values of compassion, professionalism, ethics, and lifelong learning in their nursing careers.
The honourable guest of honour Dr Junaid Ahmed, associate dean, Manipal college of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru addressed the graduates on better advancement of career and overseas opportunities.
Dr Sharan J Shetty and Dr Shivasharan Shetty, trustee of Nethaji Education and Charitable Trust delivered the presidential address and administrator Uma Shetty was also present to extend her support to the institution.
Meritorious students were also recognized and honored for their outstanding academic achievements and overall excellence. Sushmitha Shetty, tutor and Savita Naik, lecturer presented the prize distribution.
Refreshments were handled by Wilona Dwita, tutor and Anulakshmi, tutor. The discipline of the students and graduates at the event was effectively handled by Reena D'Souza, tutor.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Bhavya Babu, tutor, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, management, faculty, parents, students, and everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The graduation day celebration ended on a joyful note through cultural programmes with special faculty dance by Jenitha, Nadhiya and Basavaraj, tutors. Jenitha Andrade was the master of ceremony for the entire event.
