Mangaluru, Jun 27: ICYM Nirkan of St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan, has been honoured as one of the Second-Best Units at the St Gonsalo Garcia Awards 2025–26, organized by ICYM Mangalore diocese.

The award was presented by Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangalore diocese, on June 14.

This remarkable recognition stands as a proud and memorable milestone in the journey of ICYM Nirkan.

It reflects the unwavering commitment, wholehearted service, vibrant participation, and united efforts of every office bearer and member who worked together throughout the year. This honour is not merely an award, but a celebration of teamwork, faith, leadership, and the spirit of service that continues to inspire ICYM Nirkan to move forward with greater zeal and purpose.

This achievement reflects the dedicated leadership of president Arwin Rancy Fernandes, under the constant guidance of director Fr Anil Roshan Lobo and animator Vincent Kiran Bennis, along with secretary Melvita Crasta, the office bearers, and all the members of ICYM Nirkan 2025–26.
