Iran’s Revolutionary Guards target US positions after fresh strike

Daijiworld Media Network – Tehran

Tehran, Jun 27: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Saturday said it had targeted US military positions in the region in response to a fresh American strike against Iran.

The IRGC did not provide details about the US positions it claimed to have targeted or the nature of the operation.

The statement came after Iran’s semi-official ISNA news agency earlier carried a statement attributed to the IRGC, saying its response to the US attack would be “swift and decisive.” The statement was later removed by the news agency.

The development comes amid rising tensions between Tehran and Washington following renewed military actions and escalating confrontations in the region.
