Two killed in separate accidents in Goa

Panaji, Jun 28: Two separate tragic incidents claimed lives in Goa, with a youth dying due to electrocution in Bicholim and another person losing his life in a hit-and-run accident at Borim.

In the first incident, a 20-year-old youth identified as Akshat Naik from Lamgao died while carrying out house wiring work at Mavalinge in Bicholim.

The death was initially reported under suspicious circumstances, with preliminary information suggesting electrocution. However, officials later confirmed that the post-mortem examination established electrocution as the cause of death.

In another incident, a 32-year-old two-wheeler rider was killed after a container truck allegedly rammed into his vehicle at Borim and fled from the spot.

The deceased was identified as Nitin Vaikunth Gaude, a resident of Madkai. He died on the spot following the impact.

Following the hit-and-run incident, police launched a search operation and later traced and seized the vehicle involved. Further investigations into both incidents are underway.
