Mangaluru: Young author Reshel Fernandes honoured with ‘Lead Her’ award for literary excellence

Mangaluru, Jun 28: Young author, orator and Kittur Rani Chennamma State Awardee Reshel Bretny Fernandes, currently a final-year LLB student at SDM Law College, Mangaluru, has been honoured for her contributions to literature and public discourse.

Fernandes has been widely recognised for her writings on diverse themes, including “Bharat @2047: Role of Youth,” “Surajya – Good Governance: Wheel of Democracy,” and “Incredible Bharat: Vision for Viksit Bharat.” Her work has drawn appreciation from several dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

She has received numerous national and international accolades, including the Deshratna Award 2025 presented at Bharat Mandapam, and the J. Maurus Award conferred by the Indian Catholic Press Association. She has also been listed among the Top 10 Authors of 2025 by over 200 media platforms and is described as a “voice of modern India”.

In a recent recognition of her literary contributions, Fernandes was conferred the Lead Her Award by the Stree Organisation, in collaboration with the Indian Book of Records, at a ceremony held at Hotel Green Park, Bengaluru.

The award was presented by Dr Pooja Nigam, international pageant personality Ms Bhavana, Col. Lt. Jayshree, Mrs Chaya Gandhi, and other dignitaries.
