Noida, Jun 29: Panic spread among residents on Monday after a fire broke out on the 21st floor of a residential tower at Aranya Society in Noida's Sector 119.

After receiving information about the blaze, around six fire tenders reached the spot and launched firefighting operations immediately. Fire department teams are currently working to bring the flames under control.

As per initial information, no person has been reported trapped in the incident. Rescue operations are underway.

Preliminary reports suggested that the fire may have been caused by an explosion in an air conditioner unit. Further details are awaited.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister took note of the incident and directed officials to ensure an immediate response. Authorities were instructed to reach the spot quickly, speed up relief and rescue operations, and ensure proper medical treatment for anyone injured.

The Chief Minister also directed the administration to remain alert and continuously monitor the situation.

The incident comes weeks after fires were reported in two other residential buildings in Noida — one in Sector 74 and another in Sector 52.

Earlier, a fire broke out in a flat on the 12th floor of the 28-storey Ivy County Society in Sector 74. Fire officials rushed to the location after receiving an alert, while residents evacuated the building through staircases.

Police had said the entire tower was cleared and residents of nearby flats were shifted to safer locations as a precaution.

Following that incident, Chief Minister Adityanath had also directed officials to reach the site and oversee relief measures.
