Cops Clash With Youth Outside UP Assembly

Lucknow, Mar 20 (IANS): Clashes erupted outside the Uttar Pradesh assembly here Tuesday as police used canes to disperse a large group of candidates who had appeared for the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) and wanted to be recruited immediately.

Thousands of youngsters selected for TET protested outside the Vidhan Sabha to press for their demand that the new Samajwadi Party (SP) government immediately set the recruitment rolling.
